Amazon has launched a new ads system called 'Content Links' for affiliates to promote Amazon products. Amazon's Content Links are similar to Kontera In-Text Advertising. Context Links automatically identify relevant phrases and keywords within your page content in your website and turn those phrases and keywords into links to Amazon products. When a visitor clicks a content link and purchase a product, you make money.Content Links are customizable and here are the customization options provided by Amazon allowing you to control:
- the number of links on each page
- which portion of the page will be linked
- which Amazon product categories are linked
- the matching of exact product names only
- if preview windows will appear when your site visitors hover over the links, and the style of those windows
- the options of single underline, dashed underline, and double underline link formats to indicate to your site visitors that they are Context Links

I think Amazon has so much rich content, that a simple image and price leaves a lot to be desired. I think that 3rd party developers have created more innovative amazon ads.
